Tara Simpson, MPH

Tara Simpson, MPH is a global health and nutrition leader with over 20 years of experience advancing maternal, child, and community health across Africa, Asia and the Middle East. She began her career as a clinical dietitian, providing patient-centered care in hospital settings before transitioning to public health to address health challenges at a systems level. Tara has held senior leadership roles with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), overseeing large-scale global health programs focused on health systems strengthening, nutrition, and sustainable access to essential health services. She has also worked at CDC and international partners to design and implement programs improving health outcomes worldwide. Passionate about mentorship and practical leadership, Tara brings a grounded, real-world perspective to connecting global health policy with local impact.
