Gwyneth Cotes, MPH

Gwyneth Cotes is a Public Health Nutritionist who has spent the past 20 years supporting, designing, and leading health and nutrition programs around the world. She has a strong interest in multi-sectoral programming that integrates health systems, nutrition, food security, and gender equality. Most recently she worked as the Deputy Project Director for the USAID AFFORD program, supporting countries to fortify staple foods with essential nutrients. From 2019 to 2022 she served as the Country Director for Helen Keller Intl in Cambodia and Indonesia. Prior to that, Gwyneth led technical assistance for global nutrition programs as the Director of Global Initiatives and Deputy Project Director for the SPRING project, USAID’s flagship multi-sectoral nutrition program. Her health and nutrition experience includes designing and managing programs in sexual and reproductive health, school health, emergency nutrition, maternal and child health, and gender equality programs throughout Africa and southeast Asia. Gwyneth holds an MPH in International Health from Tulane University and a BA in International Development from American University.
