Jessica Mace, MD
Jessica Mace, MD, is a Pediatric Nephrology Fellow at Children’s National Hospital and The George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences. She received her MD from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and completed pediatric residency and Chief Residency at Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU, where she focused on medical education, curriculum development, and trainee mentorship. Her academic interests include simulation-based education, pediatric renal replacement therapy, and innovative curriculum design in graduate medical education. Dr. Mace is currently leading development of a simulation-based acute renal replacement therapy curriculum and conducting a national needs assessment to standardize dialysis education in pediatric nephrology fellowship training. She has contributed to peer-reviewed publications, national presentations, and educational initiatives aimed at improving trainee competency and interdisciplinary care. Her career goal is to advance pediatric nephrology education through educational scholarship, simulation, and curriculum innovation to improve clinical outcomes and training experiences.
