I am a pediatric gastroenterologist and hepatologist with prior research in esophageal growth, structure, and motility as it applies to Esophageal Atresia. Current clinical interests include intestinal failure, and intestinal and liver transplantation in children. My primary directorship and research focus is on Islet cell transplantation as a rescue therapy for chronic pancreatitis and potential islet cell transplantation for diabetes including type 1 in adults and children. This has included creating a mouse model for NASH/NAFLD and using this to examine the role of antioxidants in reducing oxidative stress after transplantation,
