Jennifer Tran, PA-C, MPH

Jennifer Tran, PA-C, MPH is the Advanced Practice Provider Lead for the division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Children's National Hospital (CNH) in Washington, DC. She also serves as a Public Health Clinical Specialist for the CNH division of Occupational Health. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor for the George Washington University (GWU) School of Medicine and Health Sciences and serves as a practicum preceptor for the Milken Institute School of Public Health. She is the CNH Lead Instructor for the traumatic wound care procedure and splinting workshops for their pediatric residents and emergency department medical providers. The workshops have been presented at local and national CME accredited conferences.
Jennifer is involved in a number of pediatric health advocacy projects, focusing the majority of her work in the most underserved communities of D.C. She is actively involved in adolescent sexual health promotion and is a proud partner of Safe Kids DC and Safe Kids Worldwide, providing support to both nonprofit groups and serving as an expert panelist to a national audience. Her other field of interest is in global health, including participation in multiple global medical missions, lecturing for the CNH Global Health curriculum, and serving as a global educator for disaster emergency preparedness.
This past year, Jennifer received the Emergency Department 'Advanced Practice Provider of the Year' Award for excellence in clinical care and leadership.
