Elizabeth Bertolini, RN, HEC-C, CHPN
Elizabeth Bertolini MMH, RN, HEC-C, CHPN is a healthcare ethics consultant. She has experience as a clinical nurse ethicist at a major medical center where she chaired the Healthcare Ethics Committee; led ethics education; performed ethics rounds, both formal and informal; developed and implemented policy; and facilitated Schwartz Rounds. Elizabeth frequently gives presentations to professional and community organizations on the topics of healthcare ethics, palliative care and end-of-life care, and communication skills. She has clinical expertise in both acute and subacute care as well as inpatient and outpatient hospice care. Elizabeth has a master’s in medical humanities (MMH) from Drew University. Her studies at Drew focused on bioethical issues surrounding the end of life. She is a member of the American Society of Bioethics and Humanities, the American Nurses Association, and the New Jersey State Nurses Association and is certified both as a healthcare ethics consultant and hospice and palliative care nurse.
