- The learner will be able to describe and apply trauma and burn research to practice; Update and implement trauma and burn guidelines with updated literature
- The learner will be able to identify opportunities for improvement in care and apply current guidelines and standards of care to meet patient needs; Identify areas of service weakness and implement strategies for improving trends identified through the PIPS process
- The learner will be able to describe the management of pediatric femur fractures, including the assessment and prioritization of care in cases complicated by lower extremity vascular compromise, and identify indications for timely transfer when vascular surgical capabilities are not available.
