Preceptor Workshop 9/10/25

The goal is for staff members to create and maintain a safe, tolerant, and calming work environment. They will develop skills to manage personal conflict as well as facilitate third-party conflict and hold staff accountable by using the tools found in this course. They will further develop their leadership skills to be used when resolving conflict within a team dynamic while acting as a shift leader. Nurses new to the transport environment will learn skills to improve their communication and leadership abilities in order to act as the team leader when in the transport environment working with a bedside transport team. Team members will learn to analyze learning styles and work with the to teach and give feedback in the role of preceptor.

Learning Objectives

 

Learning Objective 1: Assess individual learning styles. Participants will identify differences in learning styles and the barriers to working with different learning styles. They will apply ways to overcome these barriers.

Learning Objective 2: Apply learning styles to evaluate and meet learners needs. Preceptors will be able to work with learning style of orientees

Learning Objective 3: Assess evaluation of orientee and apply to giving feedback. Participants will work with orientees to give effective feedback and promote learning.
