Solange Benjamin-Bryant, MD, DM (peds), MHA, FAAP, FACHE

Dr Solange NM Benjamin-Bryant, is the Medical Director of the Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Unit at Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte North Carolina. She is a self-described “Island Girl”, who grew up on the Caribbean island of Antigua and was educated there and in the UK. She graduated from the University of the West Indies with a medical degree and went on to specialize in Pediatrics with a residency in Barbados and at the Brooklyn Hospital in New York and then a Pediatric Critical Care fellowship at Cohen Children’s Hospital in Long Island NY.
She returned to Barbados as the Medical Director of the Pediatric ICU from 2005-2007. She joined the University of Florida as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics for 11 years and was Director of Sedation Services from 2010-2014 and thenMedical Director of the Pediatric ICU from 2014-2018 before moving to Charlotte
In 2018 she joined the Sanger Heart Vascular Institute and serves as Medical Director of the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Levine Children’s Hospital.
She currently lives in Charlotte North Carolina with her husband. Between them they have 6 children, 4 sons and 2 daughters as well as 3 dogs.
Dr Benjamin’s hobbies include reading, Pilates, hiking, scuba diving, and enjoying her nature backyard
