Dana Mueller, MD

Dr. Dana Mueller is a board-certified pediatric intensivist at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego and a Clinical Associate professor at UC San Diego School of Medicine. She specializes in pediatric cardiac critical care and devotes the majority of her clinical time to caring for critically ill cardiac patients.
After graduating with her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin, Dr. Mueller completed her pediatric residency at University of Minnesota. She then went on to complete a fellowship in pediatric critical care and an additional fellowship in pediatric cardiac critical care, both at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. Dr. Mueller was previously a cardiac critical care intensivist and faculty member at Seattle Children's and University of Washington.
Dr. Mueller's research interests include looking at outcome measures and identifying areas of potential intervention in the cardiac intensive care unit, with the goal of improving the future care of patients with critical cardiac disease. Additionally, she is very active in leading and serving on quality committees in pediatric cardiac critical care organizations at both the national and international level.
