David Werho, MD
Dr. David Werho is a board-certified pediatric cardiologist at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego and an associate clinical professor of pediatrics at UC San Diego School of Medicine. He is the program director for the Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship. He specializes in pediatric cardiac critical care and devotes the majority of his clinical time to the care of patients in the cardiovascular intensive care unit. Dr. Werho's research interests include studying cardiac intensive care unit outcomes, including duration of ventilation and ECMO complications and is an expert in assessment and curriculum development as well as communications and social media. He leads several national committees in his field and serves on the board of directors and leadership committees of several international organizations in cardiology and cardiac critical care including PC4 and PCICS.
