Simone Lawson, MD MEd
Simone Lawson is an assistant professor of pediatrics and emergency medicine at Children's National Hospital and The George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She completed undergraduate and medical school at UNC Chapel Hill, then moved to New Orleans for pediatrics residency at LSU HSC (Children's Hospital - New Orleans). After working for two years in the emergency department, she completed pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC, where she was introduced to the world of POCUS. She continued on to Washington, DC for an additional year of pediatric emergency ultrasound fellowship at Children's National Hospital and George Washington University. She completed GWU's Master Teacher and Leadership Development Program, and later received a master's in education from GWU. She's currently the pediatric emergency ultrasound fellowship director at Children's National.
