Maame is a Professional Development Specialist for Surgical Airway Program at Children’s National. As a Professional Development Specialist, she is involved in consulting and teaching nurses and families, and equipping healthcare teams with the critical skills needed to support patients with tracheostomy.

She has about a decade of clinical experience in Pediatric and Neonatal ICU. Maame recently worked as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. She is committed to advancing healthcare practices and nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals through continuous learning and evidence-based strategies to improve patient outcomes.
