Dr. Carrie Golitko is the Medical Director of the Global Health Initiative here at Children’s National Hospital. After completing her residency at Brown/Rhode Island Hospital she moved to sub-Saharan Africa to work for Texas Children’s Hospital Pediatric AIDS Initiative for 8 years. As a clinical mentor, she worked closely with the Ministry of Health to scale-up Pediatric Antiretroviral therapy across Swaziland and Malawi. She was fortunate to live in Kenya and the UK before moving to the DC area. She is lives in Uganda currently with her spouse and 2 children.
