Dr. Mahmood is an attending physician and medical director of the Palliative Care Team (PANDA) at Children’s National Hospital. She is board certified in general pediatrics, pediatric hematology/oncology, and hospice and palliative medicine. As the former fellowship director of the palliative care fellowship program at Children’s National, she is committed to providing excellent palliative care training to trainees and providers. She helped develop the PANDA Cub curriculum, a primary palliative care training program for interdisciplinary providers which has trained staff at Children’s National Hospital. She is currently designing curriculum to support the University of Maryland Masters in Pediatric Palliative Care. Her areas of interest and research are sickle cell pain and intregrative therapies.
