- As clerkship director, have overseen the Pediatric education of over 3000 medical students and have mentored/advised many of them
- As a clinician/educator, have worked with, advised and advanced research, collaborating with over 2000 residents in Pediatrics
- Have published and advanced Pediatric and general medical education through innovations and research since 1974
- One of the first clinician/educators to be elected to regional, national offices, AAMC
- Started one of the first office rotations for pediatric residents in 1974
- Established a community training program for trainees at a GWU/ CNMC-affiliated hospital, 1974
- Started the first educational initiative on postpartum car seat use in Maryland, 1974
