Ian Hovis, MD is a pediatric cardiologist at Children’s National Hospital, where he serves as the Medical Director of Inpatient Cardiology and the Medical Unit Director for the Heart and Kidney Unit. His work focuses on improving communication, culture, and standardization across acute cardiac care through multidisciplinary quality improvement initiatives. He is deeply committed to medical education and has developed numerous curricula and simulations for trainees at all levels. Dr. Hovis is passionate about advancing patient-centered care and fostering collaborative, high-performing teams within the Heart Center.
