- High Flow Nasal Cannula in pediatric respiratory distress - Pro/Con Debate

Lecture Objectives:

  • Explain the proposed mechanisms by which High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) therapy may alleviate the pathophysiologic processes present in pediatric respiratory distress.
  • Analyze current evidence, guidelines, and outcomes related to HFNC use in various pediatric respiratory conditions.
  • Evaluate the benefits and limitations of HFNC therapy by comparing pro and con perspectives to inform clinical decision-making in the management of pediatric respiratory distress.
