  • Review dental terminology and dental trauma diagnoses 
  • Understand common concepts that are necessary for dental trauma management
  • Recognize what constitutes a dental emergency and when to consult with a dentist

Objectives:

1)    Discuss common ophthalmologic conditions presenting to the emergency department

2)    Identify and differentiate emergent from urgent ophtho presentation and discuss initial diagnosis and management

3)    Understand criteria to appropriately refer ophthalmologic conditions to specialty services
