Grand Rounds: "Necrotizing Fasciitis in a Patient with High-Risk B-ALL in Delayed Intensification":
- At the conclusion of this lecture, learners will be able to identify risk factors for serious bacterial infection in patients in delayed intensification.
- At the conclusion of this lecture, learners should be able to apply the principles of evidence-based medicine to make decisions regarding antimicrobial prophylaxis in patients with high-risk B-ALL in delayed intensification.
- At the conclusion of this lecture, learners should be able to implement strategies to manage steroid-induced hyperglycemia in patients with B-ALL on steroids and provide contingency plans for hyperglycemia emergencies to patients and families.
