2. Formulate a plan for immobilization of common upper extremity fractures using the following splints:

• Posterior short leg
• Stirrup
• Posterior long let
• Knee immobilizer

1. Practice the application of the following upper extremity splints:

• Long leg posterior
• Stirrup

1. Evaluate the evidence for use of IM epinephrine and Mg boluses (including

multiple doses) in status asthmaticus​

2. Consider when nebulized albuterol may be preferable to MDI albuterol,

weighing evidence with practical considerations in the hospital setting​

3. Review the PEWS scoring system and criteria for asthma management on the

acute care floor​

4. Discuss how PEWS/criteria for acute care floor admission should or should

not impact an ED disposition decision
