Kristen Johnson, M.D., M.Sc, received her B.A., in political science and philosophy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She completed medical school and pediatric residency at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, MD where she also served as chief pediatric resident. She obtained her M.Sc in Biostatistics at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.  Dr. Johnson is board certified in pediatric medicine and a fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics. She serves as a Pediatric Hospitalist at Children's National Hospital in Washington, D.C. Her clinical and research interests include diagnostic and statistical reasoning, patient-doctor communication and social determinants of health. She lives in Northern Virginia with her husband, two kiddos, and dog, and enjoys being in the great outdoors whenever possible.
