Lauretta is currently a pediatric hospitalist at Children's National Hospital. She completed her medical school from New York Medical College and went to Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Jersey to complete her pediatric residency. She worked as a hospitalist for a year at Hassenfeld Children's Hospital at NYU Langone before deciding to apply for the Pediatric Hospitalist Fellowship. She completed her hospitalist fellowship from SUNY Downstate Medical center in New York City before embarking on her journey as a pediatric hospitalist at Children's National Hospital. Her academic interests involve health literacy in the complex care population as well as early childhood literacy.
