Yuliya Domnina
Dr. Domnina provides patient care at Children’s National Hospital in her areas of clinical expertise including cardiac intensive care and telemedicine. She serves as medical unit director in the cardiac intensive care unit and director of quality and safety for Children’s National Heart Institute and Critical Care Units. She is an associate professor in George Washington School of Medicine. The focus of Dr. Domnina’s research has been in the field of quality and safety, neuro-developmental outcomes in the pediatric cardiac intensive care. Dr. Domnina authored and co-authored multiple publications and book chapters investigating the relationships between structural brain anomalies of infants born with ciliary dysfunction and congenital heart disease, levels of serum neuronal biomarkers and presence of acute neurologic injury in infants undergoing surgery on cardio-pulmonary bypass.
