Series Description 

The goal of Learning Lunches is to enhance the advocacy knowledge, skills, and engagement of CHAI Affiliate Faculty by providing education on key topics related to advocacy, research, policy, and community health. Through expert-led sessions and peer collaboration opportunities, participants can strengthen their ability to integrate advocacy into their professional roles. The target audience needs to:​ Know: Foundational concepts such as community benefit, Community Health Needs Assessment and Child Health Improvement Plan processes, legislative advocacy, best practices for teaching about advocacy, and how to navigate media and other venues for advocacy outside of academic medicine.​ Do: Apply learned strategies to set and achieve faculty advocacy goals, engage effectively with stakeholders, secure funding and other support, and contribute meaningfully to community health initiatives.​ Improve: Their capacity to incorporate advocacy into their work to foster better collaboration, informed decision-making, and ultimately, safer and more equitable patient care.​

The target audience for this activity are Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Physicians, and Psychologists

Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the programs. All confirmed participants will earn 1.0 CE credits (Instructional Level, Intermediate Learning) upon successful completion of the learning event and evaluation.
