Vicki Freedenberg, PhD, RN, is an Electrophysiology Nurse Scientist, with over 30 years of experience caring for pediatric and adult patients with congenital heart disease (CHD), arrhythmias and implanted cardiac devices. In addition to her clinical role, Vicki has a tremendous interest in and has developed a program of research using mind-body techniques to increase coping and decrease stress for CHD patients and their families.  She has also developed a 12 month, mindfulness-based program for hospital staff (Mindful Mentors), and has published research in these areas. She is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at The George Washington School of Medicine.
