Jasline Moreno, PhD,MSN,CNE,CHSE-A

Dr. Jasline Moreno is an innovative nurse educator and simulationist with a passion for advancing faculty development in simulation-based education. She currently serves as the Faculty Lead for the Maryland Clinical Simulation Resource Consortium (MCSRC), supporting pre-licensure nursing programs and hospital-based educators across the state. In this statewide leadership role, Dr. Moreno designs and facilitates professional development initiatives that build simulation capacity, improve instructional quality, and foster inter-institutional collaboration.
Dr. Moreno earned her PhD in Health Professions Education from the MGH Institute of Health Professions, where her research focused on strengthening faculty development in simulation through the use of Objective Structured Teaching Encounters (OSTEs), organizational readiness assessments, and leadership training. She is a Professor of Nursing at Montgomery College, where she integrates simulation into the pre-licensure curriculum and mentors faculty on best practices in simulation pedagogy.
Her national contributions to simulation education have been widely recognized. In 2024, she received the Excellence in Research and Academic Excellence Award from the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL). She also serves on the Editorial Advisory Board for the National League for Nursing, providing thought leadership in simulation-based nursing education, and hosts INACSL’s “Let’s Talk Sim” podcast, where she highlights innovation and leadership in healthcare simulation.
A dual-certified simulation educator, Dr. Moreno brings over a decade of experience designing, implementing, and evaluating simulation programs. Her work reflects a deep commitment to preparing the next generation of nurse educators and advancing excellence in clinical education.
