Series Description
The monthly focus of the RN Safety Champion Program is on error prevention and the development of unit-based Safety Champion knowledge, leadership, and communication behaviors related to safe patient care, positive clinical outcomes, and identification of safety concerns at the unit level that may not be identified through current organizational processes. Monthly education and themed unit/department-based safety audits/rounds ("Walking for Safety") will be done to address safety concerns regarding Nursing Sensitive Indicators (NSIs), Medication Administration, Technology/Equipment/Environment, and Communication.
