Amber Shelton, MD, MS

Amber Shelton is a Chief Resident for the 2025-2026 academic year at Children's National Hospital who recently matched into a dual Pediatric Emergency Medicine and Child Abuse Pediatrics fellowship at Brown University. She completed her undergraduate and graduate education at Villanova University, where she obtained bachelor's degree in biology and French and Francophone Sciences as well as a master's degree in biology, and medical school at Temple University. Throughout her training she has been passionate improving equity in spaces of higher education and, as a result, has served as the Vice President of the Black Cultural Society at Villanova University and was one of the founding members of the Student Diversity Council at Temple University, a group that established a role for North Philadelphia community members on the medical school's admission committee.
