Cecilia Rowland
Dr. Rowland obtained her doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. She has practiced almost exclusively in the area of Child and Family treatment in a variety of settings. For fifteen years, she provided home-based psychiatric services at the Yale Child Study Center where she was also supervising doctoral and master's level psychology students and staff. She also obtained training in several evidenced-based treatments. In 2004, Dr. Rowland obtained training in Motivational Interviewing. In 2014, she received training and certification in MATCH-ADTC- a modular approach to the treatment of Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, and child behavior problems. In 2014 she was also trained in Trauma-focused CBT and provided supervision to psychology interns in TF/CBT. After moving to Washington, DC, Dr. Rowland obtained training and certification in a short-term trauma intervention -Child and Famliy Traumatic Stress Intervention. She also received training and supervision in TPAC, a 10 session parenting intervention for parents of children with ADHD who themselves also have ADHD. Dr. Rowland has been an integrated care psychologist at the Anacostia Clinic of CNH for nine years. Currently, Dr. Rowland is providing integrated care virtually through the Anacostia Clinic. Her specialties are treating ADHD, parenting, and trauma.
