Learning objectives are:
1. Discuss what clinical coders look for in our clinical documentation when there is a concern for sepsis and why it matters.
2. Brainstorm how we can improve our clinical documentation for (1) skin and soft tissue infections (SSTI), (2) community acquired pneumonia (CAP), (3) urinary tract infections (UTI), and (4) neonatal fevers?
3. Describe quality improvement efforts on PHAST to capture more patients who meet criteria for sepsis when presenting with SSTIs, CAP, UTI, or neonatal fever.
