- Explore the expectations of the roles of the NICU team during a code event a. Review the roles and assigned tasks. b. Review how to implement a teamwork approach to care.
- Review the NRP algorithm for code events in the neonatal population. a. Demonstrate correct use of the algorithm and circumstances for deviation. b. Demonstrate proper use of emergency equipment & medications. c. Discuss ways to give effective feedback
- Explore ways to help the team develop critical thinking skills. a. Using how, what, and why questions. b. Use the what if game to develop critical thinking skills
