Lecture Description:
The grand rounds session aims to highlight the critical role of health literacy in improving patient outcomes, reducing disparities, and ensuring access to all patients in our care. The rounds will be delivered via a moderated expert panel addressing health literacy from the perspective of clinical practice, health information and artificial intelligence and community outreach.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify common health literacy barriers that patients encounter during patient encounters.
- Describe how digital health tools can both support and hinder health literacy.
- Explain how social determinants of health impact patients' ability to navigate health information
