Lecture Description: 

The lecture will provide a brief history of medicine, including the early stages of development of cardiology and cardiac surgery until modern times. Then will discuss the advent of the internet, big data, and then how technology and artificial intelligence (AI) can revolutionize healthcare, with specific examples of how cardiovascular can be transformed by AI.

Learning Objectives: 

1. Review the history of medicine and cardiovascular care from its early stages to modern times.

2. Discuss the impact of big data and healthcare technology in medicine. 

3. Describe the imprint of artificial intelligence on the healthcare landscape and future predictions.
