Burn Care: Dr. Sallman

  1. Rapidly assess burn severity (depth, TBSA), and identify those needing burn center referral
  2. Initiate appropriate airway, fluid resuscitation and analgesia for pediatric burn patients
  3. Choose evidence-supported initial dressings and treatment plans in pediatric burns
  4. Recognize patterns concerning for non-accidental burns

  1. Identify the diagnostic criteria of nephrotic syndrome and the associated complications
  2. Evaluate for common nephritic syndromes
  3. Understand how to manage hypertensive urgency and emergency
  4. Identify and compare the different types of renal tubular acidosis
  5. Identify the features of hemolytic syndrome (HUS) and management of HUS
