Pascal AMEDRO, Professor of Pediatrics, MD, PhD, Pediatric and Congenital Cardiologist

Professor of Pediatrics at George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences and Pediatric & Congenital Cardiologist at Children’s National Hospital (Washington, DC). Also affiliated with the University of Bordeaux, France as Professor of Pediatrics, where I continue to contribute to ongoing research programs.
I lead international clinical research programs to advance prevention, rehabilitation, and quality of life in children, adolescents, and young adults with childhood chronic diseases. I coordinate QUALIREHAB, an innovative hybrid (center- and home-based) cardiac rehabilitation program addressing physical deconditioning across pediatric chronic conditions, such as congenital heart disease, lung disease, chronic kidney disease, or childhood cancer survivorship.
Before moving to Washington, I served as Head of the Pediatric Cardiology and Pulmonology Department and later as Chair of Pediatrics at Montpellier University Hospital (France). I then joined Bordeaux University Hospital as Professor of Pediatrics, where he led the Heart–Lung Pediatric CPET Laboratory and conducted translational research at the IHU Liryc institute.
I have established and directed pediatric clinical and/or research infrastructures and led numerous multicenter clinical studies supported by national and European scientific grants.
Serving on international scientific boards and advisory committees, I am dedicated to advancing collaborative research and implementing innovative, patient-centered healthcare solutions worldwide.
