Dr. Snapp is a neonatal nurse practitioner, the Children’s National Regional Team Lead for Neonatal Advanced Practice Providers, and a member of the Children’s NICU team working in Virginia. She holds an appointment as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Dr. Snapp serves multiple organizations in the metropolitan DC area including the Virginia Neonatal and Perinatal Collaborative and the University of Maryland Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Advisory Board. She has served the National Association of Neonatal Nurses (NANN) in countless capacities over the past 40 years and is now the President-elect of the organization. Dr. Snapp enjoys creating new research projects and mentoring new nurses and providers and has authored numerous publications. Her most recent projects include writing the new Level I Newborn Standards of Care along with developing a neonatal provider workforce project with the American Academy of Pediatrics. On her days off, you will find Dr. Snapp on her horse farm in Virginia.
