Molly Yeselson

Molly Yeselson is a young adult from Washington, DC, living with intestinal failure due to mitochondrial disease. In addition to serving on the Youth Leadership Advisory Council, Molly has volunteered in a variety of roles at CNH since 2016 and was an elected member of the hospital’s Volunteer Services Advisory Committee (VSAC). In 2018, Molly was selected to be the keynote speaker at CNH’s annual Volunteer Appreciation Banquet, where she discussed life as both a patient and as a volunteer. Molly has extensive experience as a patient advocate and is particularly passionate about improving the transition between pediatric and adult healthcare systems for rare disease and technology-dependent patients like herself. Since 2020, Molly has been the Patient Representative on the Global Engineered Device Supplier Association’s (GEDSA) ENFit Clinical Advisory Board. Through her work with GEDSA, Molly has served as faculty on various clinical education webinars. She’s also presented at the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition’s (ASPEN) conference and co-authored publications on best practices for enteral medication administration. After attending Georgetown Day School (GDS), Molly went to Scripps College in Claremont, CA and graduated with her BA in Writing and Rhetoric. Her senior thesis examined the ways in which the COVID-19 pandemic increased access to education for both disabled students and incarcerated students. As a result of her research and work with the Claremont Colleges’ Justice Education Initiative, Molly was named one of Scripps College’s Racial Justice and Equity Fellows in 2022. She'll begin her Master of Science in Health and the Public Interest at Georgetown University this summer. In her free time, Molly enjoys doing arts and crafts, solving puzzles, baking, playing video games, and spending time with family and friends (both two and four-legged)!
