Melissa has been a nurse practitioner with the Advanced Cardiac Therapies team since 2021. As a nurse practitioner with this team, she takes care of patients in advanced heart failure, patients awaiting heart transplant, patients on mechanical circulatory support, and patients post heart transplant. Prior to being a nurse practitioner, she was a registered nurse in the cardiac intensive care unit at Children's National.
