Nia Imani Bodrick, MD, MPH, FAAP  is a nationally recognized, board certified General Pediatrician at Children’s National Hospital at the Town Hall Education Arts Recreation Campus (THEARC) and Associate Professor of Pediatrics at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, DC. She was also appointed as Affiliate Faculty at the Center for Community Resilience at the Milken Institute School of Public Health at George Washington University. She serves as Co-Executive Director of the DC-based Early Childhood Innovation Network (ECIN) and is Past President of the District of Columbia Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (DCAAP). In 2024, Dr. Bodrick was named an Aspen Institute Ascend Fellow. Dr. Bodrick is committed to ensuring healthy outcomes for children and their families—particularly in historically marginalized communities. With nearly 15 years of experience, she brings critical expertise in early childhood mental health, childhood obesity prevention, trauma-informed care and community resilience building. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN, Master of Public Health from Emory University in Atlanta, GA and Bachelor of Science from Hampton University in Hampton, VA. She completed her pediatric residency training at the University of Florida at Orlando Health in Orlando, Florida.
