Manuel Torres, MD

Manuel Torres, M.D., is a general and thoracic pediatric surgeon at Children’s National Medical Center and Medstar Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Torres is an Assistant Professor of Surgery and Pediatrics at the George Washington University School of Medicine. He specializes in minimally invasive surgery in infants, children, and adolescents for many pediatric surgical conditions. He has specific interests in neonatal conditions such as biliary atresia, anorectal malformations, Hirschsprung disease, and tracheoesophageal fistula. Dr. Torres obtained his medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine and completed general surgery residency training at University of Maryland/R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. Dr. Torres completed his pediatric surgery fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Prior to joining the Children’s National Medical Center, Dr Torres was a pediatric surgeon at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and assistant professor of Surgery at University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine.
