Mikael Petrosyan, MD, MBA
Dr. Mikael Petrosyan, MD, MBA, FACS, FAAP, is an accomplished pediatric surgeon and academic leader serving as Associate Chief of the Division of General and Thoracic Surgery and Program Director of the Pediatric Surgery Fellowship at Children’s National Hospital. A graduate of Rosalind Franklin Chicago Medical School, Dr. Petrosyan completed his general surgery residency at LA County + University of Southern California and a fellowship in pediatric surgery at Children’s National. He also earned an MBA from George Washington University, enhancing his expertise in healthcare leadership. Renowned for his clinical expertise in minimally invasive and innovative surgical approaches, particularly in managing complex esophageal disorders, Dr. Petrosyan has published extensively, with over 60 peer-reviewed articles and numerous book chapters. As Surgical Director of Perioperative Services, he has successfully led efforts to optimize operational efficiency and foster multidisciplinary collaboration. Dr. Petrosyan is deeply committed to mentoring future surgeons, advancing pediatric surgical research, and expanding equitable access to world-class surgical care.
