4. Follow-up with Plastics: when to and what that follow-up looks like (this can include non-hand related injuries since I'm sure there are other gripes about some of the calls that are made to your team. haha)
5. Practice nerve blocks
6. Practice advanced suturing techniques related to hand injuries
EM/CCM, Hyperthermia - Brittany Fitzpatrick
- Identify common causes of hyperthermia in children, including environmental exposure, exertional heat illness, medication-related causes, and malignant hyperthermia.
- Assess and diagnose pediatric hyperthermia using clinical presentation, vital signs, and relevant history.
- Identify potential complications of untreated or delayed treatment, such as dehydration, rhabdomyolysis, organ dysfunction, and neurologic injury.
