Joshua Nagler, MD MHPEd

Joshua Nagler, MD, is a pediatric emergency medicine physician at Boston Children’s Hospital and Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School. His academic focus is medical education, with expertise in pediatric airway management and resuscitation.
He serves as Associate Division Chief and Program Director for the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship, roles he has held for over 15 years. He chairs the American Board of Pediatrics Sub-board on Pediatric Emergency Medicine and formerly led the AAP Subcommittee for Fellowship Directors.
Dr. Nagler has authored over 100 academic works and co-edited several textbooks. He directs CME courses on education, leadership, and innovation, and teaches nationally and internationally on pediatric airway management, including with the Difficult Airway Course.
A recipient of more than 20 teaching awards, he is especially proud of mentoring fellows and junior faculty, many of whom have earned national recognition.
Outside of work, he enjoys time with his wife Jan, a teacher, and their children, Jack and Maddie. He’s also a devoted (and occasionally heartbroken) Red Sox fan
