Chidimma Acholonu, MD MPH
Chidimma is a current first year fellow at Children’s National. She completed her pediatric residency at University of Chicago where she also served as Chief Resident before transitioning to fellowship. She earned her medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine in 2019 where she was actively involved with the Student National Medical Association (SNMA) and continues to work closely with medical students through SNMA. She is the current chair and trustee for the Post Graduate Section of the National Medical Association and also serves as the Communication Chair for the Section on Minority Health, Equity and Inclusion for the AAP. In 2011, she earned her MPH from George Washington University with a concentration in Community-Oriented Primary Care, and afterwards continued to work in the school health space with DC, Baltimore, and Alexandria public schools before matriculating to medical school. Her research interests include school health and medical ethics.
