Caleb Ward, MB BChir, MPH, FAAP
Caleb Ward is a pediatric emergency medicine physician-scientist at Children's National Hospital (CNH) and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Dr. Ward serves as the Program Director for the EMSC State Partnership Grant for Washington DC, Chair of the EMS Committee at the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and a member of the AAP Committee on Pediatric Emergency Medicine (COPEM). Dr. Ward's research is focused on children accessing the EMS system with non-emergent complaints. He is working towards developing an evidence-based EMS triage tool to identify children who can be safely managed without ambulance transport to the hospital. This research is supported through a K08 career development award from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). Dr. Ward also serves as a site PI on several PECARN EMS studies.
