Objectives: 

  • Participants will become familiar with Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders.

  • Participants will develop an understanding of the role of the PMAD team at Children’s National Hospital. 

  • Participants will understand Seven Starling and how to refer to Seven Starling for resources. 

  • Participants will gain an understanding of a case study relating to PMADs and appropriate steps to take.

Summary: This Continuing Education Session will focus on Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders and how to recognize, screen and treat them. The session will explore and define Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders and provide participants with information on the PMAD team at Children's National. The session will review the role of Seven Starling's mission, vision and goals, and how Children's National can partner with Seven Starling to ensure continued care of perinatal clients.
