1) Review current literature on best practices in the cardiac intensive care unit. 

2) Support multidisciplinary communication and cooperation in the care of medically complex patients in the cardiac intensive care unit.

3) Critically evaluate the relevance, statistical methods, and applicability of research findings to our own clinical context.
