Dr. Rueda Altez is a board-certified pediatrician and pediatric infectious diseases specialist. She is the Director of Pediatric Transplant Infectious Diseases at the University of Alabama at Birmingham/Children's of Alabama, and Associate Program Director for the Infectious Diseases fellowship program. She has been a member of the Journal of Pediatrics Editorial Board since 2020, and holds the position of AAP Early Career Liaison for the Red Book Online.
