Pelton Phinizy, MD

Dr. Phinizy is a board certified pediatric pulmonologist. A proud alumnus of the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) and Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, Dr. Phinizy completed his general pediatrics and pediatric pulmonology training at Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of New York at Columbia University before joining the division of Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He is an associate professor of clinical pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. His clinical and research interests include Bronchology and the use of flexible bronchoscopy to help diagnose and treat pediatric patients with particular interest in exploring ways to perform procedures typically performed in adult patients and bringing them to the pediatric world in safe and effective ways. Dr. Phinizy is a lead pulmonologist in the Center for Pediatric Airway Disorders and the Esophageal and Airway Treatment center. He is the co-director of the bronchoscopy service and the associate director of the advanced diagnostic bronchoscopy center.
